About WorldDial

Cheap international calls for people living abroad.

Léo Tréguer

Founder

I'm Léo Tréguer, the founder of WorldDial. I built it after struggling to reach a bank, a government office or even a restaurant abroad, when WhatsApp and Skype couldn't help.

It felt strange that making a simple international call had become so complicated. So I built WorldDial: dial any landline or mobile straight from your browser, see the exact price before you connect, and only pay for what you use.

I still build and run WorldDial myself, with one goal: make international calling simple again.

See it working

An unedited run through a real call, so you can see the rate, the connection and the cost before you sign up.

Our mission

International calling is too expensive. Legacy carriers charge a fortune for simple voice calls, and most VoIP apps require you to convince your contacts to install something new.

WorldDial is different. You call real phone numbers, mobiles, landlines, from any browser, at low per-minute rates. No app on the other end. No subscriptions. No SIM card.

Common questions

How does it work?
You top up your wallet with credit (from $1), then dial any international number directly in the browser. The call goes through our infrastructure and connects to the real phone line.
Do I need to download anything?
No. WorldDial runs entirely in your browser. You only need a microphone.
Can the other person hear me clearly?
Yes. Calls are routed via Twilio's global telephony network, a widely used carrier platform for browser and app voice.
How is pricing calculated?
You pay per minute, billed to the nearest minute. Rates depend on destination. Use the Pricing tab to see the exact rate for any number before you call.
What happens to unused credit?
Your balance stays in your account until you use it. There is no expiry and no monthly fee.
Is my payment information safe?
All payments are handled by Stripe. WorldDial never stores your card details.
