WorldDial for Business
Pay-as-you-go calling for occasional business use
Skip monthly seat fees when your team only picks up the phone for international calls now and then.
When seat subscriptions do not add up
Business phone platforms often charge per user every month, whether or not that person makes international calls. For a five-person team that calls overseas suppliers twice a week, that fixed cost is hard to justify.
Pay-as-you-go fits low-volume, unpredictable calling. You fund an account, see the rate for each destination, and pay only for minutes used.
How WorldDial billing works
Rates are shown before you dial. There is no automatic monthly recharge unless you choose to add credit again.
- Create an account and add credit via Stripe
- Open the rates page and look up the country or number prefix
- Place the call from the browser dialer
- Your balance decreases based on the published per-minute rate and call duration
- Top up when credit runs low
Compared to per-seat phone systems
A per-seat VoIP plan bundles features you may not need: auto-attendants, ring groups, and large domestic minute pools. WorldDial strips that down to outbound international minutes with transparent pricing.
- No minimum number of lines or users
- No annual contract for phone infrastructure
- Costs scale with actual call volume, not headcount
- Each team member can hold their own balance or you can centralise top-ups informally
Good fit and poor fit
- Good: founders, agencies, and ops staff with sporadic international calls
- Good: testing a new market before committing to a local phone number
- Good: travel-heavy roles that need calling from laptops abroad
- Poor: high-volume outbound sales dialling
- Poor: teams that need a shared inbound business number
- Poor: organisations that require call recording for compliance
WorldDial does not publish competitor pricing. Compare your current phone bill's international line items to live rates on the rates page.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a monthly subscription?
- No. WorldDial charges from prepaid credit. You add funds when you need them.
- What is the minimum top-up?
- Check the current minimum on the billing page when you sign up. Amounts may change over time.
- Do unused credits expire?
- Review the terms of service for the latest credit expiry policy before large top-ups.
- Can I see what a call cost after it ends?
- Call history in your account shows duration and charges so you can reconcile expenses.
- Is pay-as-you-go cheaper than a business phone plan?
- For low international volume, often yes. For all-day domestic and inbound calling, a dedicated phone system may be more economical. Run the numbers for your destinations.
- Can I get an invoice for accounting?
- Stripe receipts are issued for credit purchases. Use those for expense records alongside call history.
