How to call Brazil from the United States in 2026

The dial string is +55 followed by the two-digit Brazilian area code and the subscriber number. Mobile numbers keep the leading 9 after the area code. Brazilian toll-free 0800 numbers are domestic only and will not connect from the United States.

Brazilian mobiles use a 9-digit subscriber number starting with 9 after the area code (ANATEL’s mobile ninth-digit reform). Landlines use 8-digit subscriber numbers.
